She is a gerbil and I got her one night when we went to look at animals at Pet Smart.
I looked at the gerbils and I asked dad, "do you think I can get one sometime" and dad said, "maybe." And I asked when...and dad said...maybe now.
And I said really...and so I had to pay for it, but we finally got furbykins. I picked her because she was the first one I saw (they were all in the igloo and she first popped her head out).
You probably can't see it now but she has a spot on her tail.
I'm giving you her characteristics.

She has just recently made a hole in the top right corner of shavings for her bed. She's constantly behind her wheel and at night I hear this big noise and it's her on her big wheel. I was afraid of her before but now I can pick her up (as you can see in one of these pictures). She likes to get her picture taken I think because she was really still when I put her in my hand and in the other two pictures.
She also keeps eating her food bowl...so last night mom got her a hard little cheesecake treat thing.
I paid, and I still have to pay $10, $42 for the cage, the gerbil, the bedding, the food, the ball, and the chewing sticks (the orange thing in the picture).

That's all for now. I'll probably have more by tomorrow. See you later.
Love you...bye

Hi Hallie,
I am so glad you are updating your blog. Furby is cool! I have to update my blog now. Take care.
Kim
How cute he/she is! I used to have a hamster, actually I had a few of them over the years and I loved them. I don't know what the difference is between a gerbil and a hamster, maybe it's the same thing. Looks like you picked a cute one!
I had a ball for mine that you could put him/her in and it had holes so they could breath but they could run all over the house in this big, plastic ball. Pretty cool huh?
